ABOUT

Mendon Golf Club is a private golf club nestled in the scenic rolling hills of Mendon, just a short distance south of Rochester, NY.  The 6,645-yard, par-71 championship course features four sets of tees, catering to players of all skill levels.  The course's classic design blends in with the natural landscape to provide an exceptional golf experience.

A Brief History

In 1961, a group of golf enthusiasts founded Mendon Golf Club, originally known as Green Hills, as they sought a place to play golf in Rochester.  Their passion for the sport led them to purchase a farm in Mendon that offered ideal terrain and soil for a golf course.

The course's initial nine holes were designed by Peter Craig, and when it opened on July 30, 1961, professional golfer Gary Player played the inaugural holes.  The back nine were added in 1967 with designs by Joe DeMino.

Over the years, Mendon Golf Club has become one of Rochester's top private golf clubs, known for its excellent playing conditions.  It has hosted several US Open Qualifiers and other tournaments for both junior and adult golfers.

The club aims to provide a warm, welcoming environment for its members to enjoy golf on a well-maintained course. Members and their guests often praise the club's friendly and hospitable staff.
